WEMBLEY CENTRAL NURSERY SCHOOL

Our Teachers

We understand that the experiences of a child between birth and five have a major impact on the child’s future life chances. The EYFS describe good parenting and high-quality learning as the foundation that children need to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow. We strictly follow EYFS standards which sets out guidelines for providers ensuring that all children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe. We use these guidelines when employing teachers and assistants.

We employ friendly and professional staff that are passionate about working with children. We have a rigid system in place that ensures all staff members have the appropriate qualifications, skills, knowledge and training making them suitable for their role. Each staff members receives individual induction training which helps them understand their roles and responsibilities and teaches them about the unique practices of Wembley Central Nursery School. We also review their training on a regular basis and encourage further development to increase knowledge and keep the skills of the staff relevant and up to date. For the safety of the children and for optimal learning we follow the EYFS standards for the ratio of staff to children. All members of staff are first aid trained.

We understand that each child is unique; children develop and learn in different ways and at their own pace. Upon registration, all children are assigned a key person. The role of the key person is to:
  • Help the child become familiar with the nursery and settle in
  • Tailor the care of the child to meet their individual needs and track their progress
  • Build a relationship with their parents/carers and support continued development at home.
